Some pages on site are still under construction
The games assigned are played under the auspices of the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL) and the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL). You can follow links on the site to find more information about both leagues. You can find information about procedures, pay and rules on the Procedures Page.
Midweek assignments available.
Communication
Nearly all of the assigning of games is done through this website. There are occasions, increasingly rare, when you will be contacted by telephone. Generally, this is caused by "last minute" changes of some sort. Email is the preferred means of communication. Complete contact information is found on the Contact Page. One telephone method which is often used is CallingPost. This is an automated phone calling system which permits telephone calls to many referees at once. It is used to distribute essential information with more urgent deadlines. It is also used to provide reminder calls prior to weekend games. More information about CallingPost can be found by following the link at the bottom of the page.
About your Assignor
Bruce Bode is a USSF Grade 7 Referee with more than ten years of refereeing experience
in youth and adult games. I am also a USSF Associate Referee Instructor. I have been
assigning league and tournament games for five years.
My philosophy about referee assigning is that I try to find the best referee for the game
while providing the referee with a sufficient challenge. I expect the referee to give his best
effort at every game, regardless of the level of play. I also try to provide an environment
and opportunities for referees to enhance their skills and further their development. To that end
I encourage referees to upgrade and recommend referees for advancement through more
challenging assignments in games and competitions.
