FIFA Laws of the Game

Rules for Midwest Cup 2008 are FIFA Laws of the Game and USYSA, with the following EXCEPTIONS:

SUBSTITUTIONS

All ages

Unlimited number of substitutions.

U8 - U11

Sub on the fly -- without the referee's permission players may subsitute at the touchline directly in front of the bench.

U12 - U17

Substitution at any stoppage with permission of referee, per FIFA Laws of the Game, Law 3.

LENGTH OF THE GAME

U8 - 2 X 20 minute halves

U9-11 - 2 X 25 minute halves

U12-14 - 2 X 30 minute halves

U15-17 - 2 X 35 minute halves

AGE GROUP MODIFICATIONS

Ball size

U8-9 - size 3

U10-11 - size 4

Offside

No Offside infractions for U8-9

Please pay particular attention to the following:

Only protective sport glasses are allowed;
No jewelry
